An 'Outstanding' Secondary School based in the Borough of Ealing is seeking an English Graduate - Teaching Assistant who will have a positive impact on students across KS3-5. This is a Long-Term, Full-Time role commencing ASAP.

As an English Graduate - Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Helping the Class Teacher to deliver lessons targeting all core areas of the national curriculum
  • Supporting students across KS3-5 in and out of the classroom
  • Providing additional support to students with SEND/SEMH needs in interventions to target challenging areas of the English curriculum
  • Working in collaboration with a team of fantastic and experienced English Teachers, as well as other teaching professionals and support staff

The Head Teacher is keen to speak to English Graduates with a passion for their subject and a desire to work with young people. This is the ideal role for English Graduates looking to gain experience working in a school environment before pursuing a career teaching English. There are opportunities for Teacher Training within this role for exceptional candidates looking to progress within the role.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • An English graduate with strong academics across university (1st or 2:1), sixth form and secondary school
  • A passion for English and the desire to become an English Teacher
  • Experience working with children and young people
  • A sufficient understanding of SEND/SEMH needs
