Trainee Field Service Engineer - FTC
Location: Central London - Home-based with extensive travel required for on-site service and repairs.
Principal Purpose
Currently training to become a Field Service Engineer (FSE), providing technical services and support for medical technology equipment and software solutions. Capable of diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and meeting their requirements and expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair, Installation & Service: Train in the repair, installation, and servicing of medical technology equipment and associated software solutions.
- Technical Issue Resolution: Accurately diagnose and resolve technical issues related to equipment, software applications, IT networks, servers, and cloud-based technologies.
- Remote Support: Provide remote troubleshooting and repair services, ensuring quick and efficient issue resolution.
- Lifecycle Management: Support product and solution lifecycle management, from site surveys to decommissioning and disposal.
- Product & Software Modifications: Implement product updates, modifications, and regulatory updates (FCA's).
- Technical Expertise Development: Gain advanced knowledge and understanding of products and solutions through training and practical experience.
- Travel & Efficiency: Willingness to travel and stay away from home to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Collaboration with 2nd-Level Support: Communicate effectively with second-level support teams to report and resolve technical issues, sharing knowledge with engineers to improve service efficiency.
- Stock Management: Effectively manage car boot stock to reduce Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and improve First Time Fix Rate (FTFR).
- Customer Engagement: Maintain high levels of customer engagement, manage expectations, and promote service offerings, ensuring effective communication at all levels.
- Brand Representation: Act as a brand ambassador, embodying professionalism and delivering exceptional service.
Requriments:
- Technical Apprenticeship (completed) or HNC or higher in technical qualification such as electronics, engineering, IT, or scientific qualification.
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Permitted to work throughout UK and Ireland; able to travel to Germany and USA for training.
