The Opportunity
A well-established environmental consultancy with a strong presence in the South East is looking for a Graduate Environmental Engineer to join their specialist remediation team in Kent.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience delivering remediation solutions on contaminated land projects across residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments. You'll be working closely with experienced engineers and geologists, gaining exposure to both site and office-based work from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the design and implementation of remediation strategies
- Assisting with site investigations and supervising remediation works
- Soil and groundwater sampling and logging
- Monitoring remediation systems (e.g. bioremediation, soil stabilisation, validation testing)
- Preparing verification and validation reports
- Assisting with risk assessments and environmental data interpretation
- Liaising with contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies
Requirements
- Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or similar
- Strong interest in contaminated land and remediation
- Willingness to work on-site across Kent and the South East
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
Desirable
- MSc in Contaminated Land, Hydrogeology, or related field
- Previous internship or placement within environmental consultancy or ground investigation
- Basic understanding of UK guidance (e.g. CLR11, BS10175)
