The Opportunity
A well-established environmental consultancy with a strong presence in the South East is looking for a Graduate Environmental Engineer to join their specialist remediation team in Kent.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience delivering remediation solutions on contaminated land projects across residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments. You'll be working closely with experienced engineers and geologists, gaining exposure to both site and office-based work from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the design and implementation of remediation strategies
  • Assisting with site investigations and supervising remediation works
  • Soil and groundwater sampling and logging
  • Monitoring remediation systems (e.g. bioremediation, soil stabilisation, validation testing)
  • Preparing verification and validation reports
  • Assisting with risk assessments and environmental data interpretation
  • Liaising with contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies

Requirements

  • Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or similar
  • Strong interest in contaminated land and remediation
  • Willingness to work on-site across Kent and the South East
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)

Desirable

  • MSc in Contaminated Land, Hydrogeology, or related field
  • Previous internship or placement within environmental consultancy or ground investigation
  • Basic understanding of UK guidance (e.g. CLR11, BS10175)
