A vacancy has become available in the Machine Shop, working as a Dimensional Quality Inspector.
Hours of work: 6am-2pm/ 2pm-10pm rotating
Pay: Up to 38,000 per annum
Working in the machine shop, your duties may include:
- Working in machine shop to ensure components are fully inspected, and confirmed as conformed or non-conformed based on customer specifications
- Being a part of machine shop operations to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently from a Quality point of view.
- Using various methods including Faro Arm to inspect in accordance with ISO:9001 quality standards throughout the manufacturing process
- Completing inspection records
- Dimensional and visual inspection of machined parts
- Using overhead cranes where required (full LOLER training provided)
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings including tolerances and GD&T symbols and applying to the product in question
- Using appropriate inspection methods
Requirements
- 2 years experience minimum in a quality focused position (inspector, technician or engineer)
- Time served or apprentice trained in an engineering discipline (preferred)
- Able to read complex drawings and able to recognise GD&T symbols
- Able to use Faro Arm and conventional measuring equipment (preferred)
- Flexible to hours worked
- Good attention to detail
- Logical approach
