The Role as a Psychology Graduate Assistant:
- Work as a Psychology Graduate Assistant supporting students with SEN/SEMH in their academic, social and emotional development
- Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to pupils and support those who require additional support
- Assist with lesson preparation, classroom management, and learning resources
- Ensure student welfare and safeguarding is maintained
- Support class teachers and other staff members with behaviour management
- Opportunities to work in specialist SEN classrooms in some schools
What Schools Look For:
- Academically strong graduates with a genuine passion for education
- Undergraduate Degree in Psychology or similar subject
- Excellent results across GCSE and A Level
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience with young people in any setting is beneficial
- Experience supporting young people with SEN/SEMH is highly desirable
- Resilient, proactive, and eager to learn in a Psychology Graduate Assistant role
