About the Role

We re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Electrical Engineer to join an established Building Services Consultancy in Nottingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to begin their career in electrical building services design, working on a diverse range of commercial, residential, education, and healthcare projects. You ll receive hands-on training, mentorship from senior engineers, and support towards achieving Chartered Engineer status.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and data systems.

  • Work under the guidance of senior engineers to produce design calculations, drawings, and technical documentation.

  • Attend project and coordination meetings with clients and other design disciplines.

  • Support with site surveys, inspections, and project delivery activities.

  • Gain exposure to all stages of the design process, from concept through to completion.

  • Develop technical and professional skills through ongoing training and mentorship.

About You

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Strong interest in sustainable and energy-efficient building design.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

  • Eagerness to learn, develop, and take on new challenges.

  • Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Amtech (advantageous but not essential).

  • Passion for building a long-term career in the building services industry.
