Job Title: Graduate Mechanical Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join a leading engineering business that specialises in designing, developing, and manufacturing high-value, luxury, and complex electro-mechanical products. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of electro-mechanical products.

  • Support senior engineers in the creation of mechanical designs, including 3D modelling and simulation.

  • Help optimise product designs to meet performance, cost, and quality targets.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical systems.

  • Participate in prototype testing, assembly, and troubleshooting of mechanical components.

  • Contribute to the creation of technical documentation and reports.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and help implement best practices within the team.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with a strong academic background.

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for 3D modelling and design.

  • A solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including materials, thermodynamics, and mechanics.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and an analytical approach.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A keen interest in working with luxury, high-value electro-mechanical products.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) or other simulation tools.

  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) software or engineering project management tools.

  • Previous internship or work experience in mechanical design or product development (desirable but not essential).

  • Interest or knowledge in high-end consumer products, automotive, or aerospace engineering.
