Graduate Structural Engineer

This is a great opportunity for a bright, enthusiastic graduate structural engineer to join a successful, well established, civil and structural design practice near Torquay.
Working as a graduate structural engineer you will;
- work on a diverse and interesting range of projects throughout the southwest and across
- different sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, education and health.
- working with exceptional colleagues on the structural design of challenging projects that will
- improve your knowledge and understanding of structural engineering.
Liaise and co-ordinate with our infrastructure, highways and drainage engineers and you will
- be involved in every aspect of scheme development, preliminary and detailed designs and
- project management.
- produce drawings using AutoCAD or Revit
- prepare structural design calculations on a project basis using the current Eurocodes, BS
- Standards and Approved Codes of Practice
You will assist with coordinating the structural and civil engineering aspects of the design
- process
- liaise with other engineering disciplines within the practice
- Accompany senior engineers to site visits/meetings
The Candidate:
- relevant BEng/MEng in Engineering
- 12 months experience working in an engineering environment
- Enthusiastic self-motivated team player
good verbal and written communication skills
- strong work ethic
- ability to work under own initiative
- A working knowledge of Civils 3D and AutoCAD
