Role Overview: The Apprentice Quantity Surveyor will assist the Consultant or Senior Quantity Surveyor in carrying out quantity surveying duties under the direction of Directors and senior staff. This role provides a learning opportunity to develop relevant skills and gain experience in various aspects of quantity surveying.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare estimates, cost plans, interim evaluations, cost reports, and value-for-money reports.
  • Provide procurement advice.
  • Prepare tender documents and tender reports.
  • Assist with contract administration and cost control.
  • Conduct valuations and prepare final accounts.
  • Offer contract and dispute advice.
  • Perform Employer s Agent/Contract Administrator services.
  • Coordinate the appointment of other consultants.
  • Attend meetings and undertake site visits.
  • Prepare agendas, minutes, and supporting documents for meetings.

Experience & Skills Required:
  • NVQ Level 3 in a Construction-related subject.
  • Methodical and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to analyse and process data.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-organised, flexible, committed, enthusiastic, and innovative.
  • Proficiency in IT Microsoft packages (e.g., Excel, Word).
