We are seeking a motivated
Trainee Maintenance Manager to support the effective maintenance and reliability of production equipment and facilities. This hands-on role offers structured training and development in preventative and reactive maintenance, process improvement, and planned maintenance systems, giving you the technical skills to excel in a modern manufacturing environment.
The
Trainee Maintenance Manager will:
- Assist with preventative and reactive maintenance on machinery, utilities, and site facilities.
- Support maintenance planning, scheduling, and documentation within the maintenance system.
- Help identify root causes of breakdowns and assist with long-term corrective actions.
- Work with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime and improve performance.
- Participate in installation, commissioning, and improvement of new or modified equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards during all activities.
The
Trainee Maintenance Manager will have:
- Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or degree).
- Practical experience in industrial maintenance, ideally automotive.
- Strong technical ability with a hands-on approach and problem-solving mindset.
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, fault finding, and preventative maintenance.
- Good IT literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and awareness of health & safety practices.
- Self-motivated, organised, and eager to develop into a leadership role.
