Ridgeway & Co are proud to be partnering with a leading Groundwork's contractor in Essex with their search for a Trainee Surveyor / Estimator.
As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor / Estimator, you will be responsible for assisting in the measurement, costing and procurement of materials for our construction projects. You will work closely with our experienced Quantity Surveyors & Estimators to ensure that all aspects of the Groundwork's package are properly accounted for and accurately estimated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the measurement and quantification of Materials for construction projects.
- Assisting in the preparation of detailed bills of quantities for tendering purposes.
- Assisting in the procurement of Materials, including the preparation of tender documentation and assessment of tenders.
- Liaising with contractors and suppliers to obtain quotes
- Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets
- Assisting in the assessment and valuation of variations and claims
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly cost reports
- Ensuring that all materials / services are accurately accounted for and properly documented.
