Geotechnical Engineer
Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 + Bonus incentives

Key Responsibilities
- Undertake and supervise ground investigation works across rail, highways, and civil engineering projects.
- Carry out soil and rock logging in accordance with relevant industry standards.
- Support site investigations, monitoring installations, and geotechnical testing activities.
- Record, manage, and interpret geotechnical data collected from site investigations.
- Prepare technical reports, factual ground investigation reports, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
- Support project delivery teams to achieve programme and client objectives.
- Participate in safety-critical rail activities where required.
Essential Skills
- MEng, MSc, BEng, or BSc in Engineering Geology, Geology, Physical Geography, or a related discipline.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
- Ability to pass Personal Track Safety (PTS) medical, drug and alcohol screening, and training requirements.
- Experience or understanding of ground investigations and site-based geotechnical activities.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
- Comfortable working outdoors and travelling to project sites nationwide.
