An opportunity to join an innovative and rapidly growing training provider, we are looking for an experienced Business Support Assessor to join their successful team.

You will be responsible for the delivery of Business Admin, Customer Service, Team Leading and Management apprenticeships (including functional skills) to a caseload of learners. The successful candidate will need to have at least 3 years' occupational experience and knowledge in Business Administration and Management.

You will already hold the relevant Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA or equivalent) and a Teaching Qualification.

You will need to be flexible to travel to see learners across Newcastle, Gateshead, Middlesbrough and Newton Aycliffe.

If you have experience delivering Warehouse, Lean Manufacturing, Improvement or Learning & Skills Mentor, this would be highly advantageous!


  • Train, assess, motivate and support learners on various programmes towards achieving Apprenticeship qualifications, including Functional skills
  • Maximise the use of e-learning and using a variety of assessment methods to ensure learners have the chance to evidence their knowledge in a variety of ways.
  • Support, develop, implement and evaluate approved Business Support training materials, promoting standardisation, use approved training methods to develop the learner and utilise every opportunity to supporting them to achieving their qualification in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the highest standards of learner completions are me and to monitor candidates progress, including carrying out regular progression reviews/additional support reviews.


  • Assessor qualification (TAQA, CAVA, A1 or equivalent)
  • Teaching qualification
  • Functional Skills qualifications at Level 2
  • A minimum 2 years' occupational experience within a management role in a business environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage own diary
  • Full UK Driving License and use of own vehicle
