F&R are looking for dedicated individual looking to take on a trainee assistant role for a new build housing client.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The role is based in Manchester and will require you to have a UK driving license and vehicle.

As a trainee assistant manager, you will collaborate closely with the site team to assist with remedial lists, CMLS, handovers and the over all management of trades and subcontractors. My client, a prestigious 5-star house builder with developments throughout the northwest, is now seeking a dedicated individual eager to begin a career in site management.

Key Tasks

To undertake a range of tasks suited to the current level of training and development.

To keep all work portfolios, logbooks and task records up to date and available for inspection at any time.

To take on additional responsibilities in year 2 of employment

To understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time.

To understand and comply with company policies and procedures.

To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner.

To comply with all health & safety policies, procedures and instructions.

To attend and fully participate in training reviews with company officials and/or third-party training provider officials as and when required.

Essential Attributes

  • Work in a trade or a university graduate
  • Interest in practical tasks and the construction industry in general.
  • Keen to learn and develop technically and professionally.
  • Excellent timekeeping, punctuality and attendance.
  • Aspiration to become a qualified tradesperson/manager.
  • Good communicator and team player.
  • Humble and willing to listen and learn from others.
  • Initially flexible in terms of being able to move around different sites in the Northwest of England with an aspiration to drive and own a vehicle.
  • Embrace any opportunity to attend any role/industry specific training, provided by the business, and maintain up to date relevant knowledge of the industry.
