Trainee Food Technologist - Evesham

Salary: Up to 32,000 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Food Technologist to join our team in Evesham, where you'll receive full training and hands-on experience across all areas of food technology, quality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with and be trained by members of the technical team to develop skills in food safety, auditing, supplier approval, quality, and customer communication.
  • Build a strong understanding of all key categories at the company.
  • Support in monitoring and managing on-site quality issues, collaborating with other departments.
  • Learn to update and maintain product specifications internally and on customer databases.
  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of the companies processes and departments.
  • Assist with projects, product assessments, benchmarking, sampling, and supplier approval.
  • Develop skills to create, present, and maintain reports and analytical data for meetings and complaint investigations.
  • Conduct store visits to review product quality, compliance, and investigate customer complaints.
  • Support packaging and artwork projects, ensuring technical accuracy and brand compliance.
  • Assist in maintaining BRCGS compliance, audit documentation, and follow-up actions.


What We're Looking For:

  • A genuine interest in food technology, quality assurance, or the food industry.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to learn new skills.
  • IT literacy (Excel, Word, and database systems).
  • Ideally, some experience or education in food science, agriculture, or a related discipline - though full training will be provided.
