This full-time role is ideal for anyone considering a career in education or planning to apply for a PGCE, School Direct, or SCITT in the near future. You'll gain invaluable experience supporting pupils, learning from experienced teachers, and developing essential classroom skills.
Your Role:
Supporting the delivery of engaging English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Running small group and one-to-one intervention sessions to boost literacy, reading comprehension, and writing skills
Assisting with lesson planning, classroom management, and marking
Encouraging students to develop confidence and a love for English language and literature
Getting involved in reading clubs, homework support, and creative writing or drama activities
Who We're Looking For:
A recent English graduate (or related subject such as English Literature, Creative Writing, or Journalism) with a 2:2 or above
A clear and confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
Someone passionate about education and committed to helping young learners succeed
An aspiring teacher looking to gain meaningful, paid school-based experience
Reliable, approachable, and enthusiastic about making a positive difference
