An established engineering company based in Leicestershire is currently seeking a Graduate Design Engineer to join their expanding design team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment, working on a range of innovative engineering projects.
The Graduate Design Engineer will ideally have the following:- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or a similar discipline
- Good understanding of mechanical and/or product design principles
- Experience using 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and a creative approach to problem-solving
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop
The Graduate Design Engineer role will involve:- Supporting the design team in creating and modifying 3D models and 2D drawings
- Assisting in the development of new and existing products
- Working with engineering and production teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs
- Producing BOMs and technical documentation
- Participating in design reviews and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
