ROLE- Graduate Design EngineerLOCATION- SalisburyTERM- PermanentSALARY- 25,000- 29,000 per annum, dependent on experience My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking for a Graduate Design Engineer to join their team in Salisbury on a permanent basis.
The Graduate Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design or similar
- Interested in developing a career in Design Engineering / Product Design
- A sound understanding of Mechanical Engineering processes and materials
- Previous work experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial
- Be proficient using 2D and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD etc.
- Hands-on technical experience through your course
- Able to work to specific requirements and deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Organised with excellent communication and teamwork skills
The Graduate Design Engineer roles will involve:- Using 2D and 3D CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings
- Liaising with manufacturing providers
- Testing and prototype development
- Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
- Updating 3D models and drawings
- Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs
- Checking drawings for sign off
- Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
