Trainee Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer / Junior Service Engineer required to join a leading provider of industrial / automated packaging machinery and solutions.

The Successful Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer / Junior Service Engineer will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, fault finding and maintenance on packaging machinery / solutions at customer sites across the UK. Full product training provided.

The Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer / Junior Service Engineer will ideally have hands-on experience or knowledge in electrical and/or mechanical engineering. Preference will be given to candidates with familiarity in electromechanical servicing, fault finding and systems troubleshooting or a Mechanical or electrical qualification, apprentice trained, NVQ level 3, city & guilds, HNC, HND or similar.

  • 30,000 - 32,000 basic depending on experience

Trainee Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer / Junior Service Engineer Role
  • To provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance of automated packaging machinery / solutions equipment at customer sites.
  • Installing automated packaging machinery into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
  • Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various packaging machinery / solutions.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.
  • Working at customer sites throughout the UK.

Trainee Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer / Junior Service Engineer Requirements
  • Willingness to learn complicated electrical / mechanical engineering systems.
  • Experience as a Trainee Service Engineer, Apprentice Engineer, Apprentice Technician, Graduate Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Marine Engineer, Entry level Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Field Service Engineer or similar is advantageous.
  • Mechanical or electrical qualification, apprentice trained, NVQ level 3, city & guilds, HNC, HND or similar would be a plus.
  • Hands-on experience in electrical and/or mechanical domains with a willingness to learn is desired though not a necessity.
  • Determination to learn the industrial automation / packaging / robotics industry and related fields with enthusiasm for career progression opportunities.
  • Flexibility to travel across the UK with regular customer site visits.
