A Specialist Transport Planning consultancy in Bristol are looking for a Graduate Transport Planner to begin their career in the industry! They are willing to massively invest in you, offering full training and support whilst you help the team deliver a range of transport planning schemes including Travel Plans, Transport Assessments and Traffic Forecasting!
You will be joining an extremely close-knit office in Bristol and be supported by all members of the team from the Directors to other Graduates in the team.
As a Graduate Transport Planner, you will be mainly involved in collecting transport data from a range of external sources, learning how to write transport assessments and travel plans and undertake Junction Modelling using ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG.
Graduate Transport Planner Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of Transport Assessments, Transport Feasibility Studies and Travel Plans.
- Focus on the preparation of junction capacity analysis, figures for reports, swept path assessment, analysis of data, and drawings of transport improvements including junction designs.
- Expected to work with and prepare spreadsheets and write reports.
- Work as part of a growing team and required to carry out a variety of tasks so that report delivery deadlines are met.
- Will have the opportunity to become involved in a wide variety of exciting development projects and will be a critical part of a very busy commercially focused team with an expanding workload.
- Will benefit from one-to-one training and training from all members of the team on a wide range of tasks that encompass transport planning.
Graduate Transport Planner requirements
- You will have achieved or be on target to achieve an Honours Degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, Geography, Statistics, Economics, Operational Research or equivalent subject.
- Preferred - You will have relevant work experience gained through summer placements and internships or are able to demonstrate a genuine interest to work in Transport planning.
- You must be eligible to live and work in the UK at the time you start employment.
