Position Overview:
My client are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Transport Planner to join the newly established office in London. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the growth and development of a small, dedicated team within a specialist Transport Planning company. With the main office in Birmingham, this new London location will offer you the chance to contribute to a range of transport planning projects while helping shape the future of the London office.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Support: Assist in delivering a variety of transport planning projects, including transport assessments, travel plans, and transport statements for both private and public sector clients.
Data Collection and Analysis: Conduct transport-related data collection, analyze traffic patterns, and assist in interpreting and presenting findings using relevant tools and software.
Report Preparation: Support the preparation of technical reports such as transport assessments, feasibility studies, and travel plans in accordance with local and national planning guidelines.
Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in both the London and Birmingham offices, contributing to project delivery and supporting the smooth running of the new office.
Stakeholder Engagement: Assist in liaising with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders to provide updates on projects and ensure effective communication.
Sustainable Transport Solutions: Help develop transport strategies that encourage sustainable travel modes such as walking, cycling, and public transport.

Qualifications and Skills:
Education: A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, Urban Planning, or a related discipline.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with transport planning software (e.g., TRICS, Junctions, AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret data and produce accurate reports.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a small team, contributing to a collaborative and positive work environment.
