Graduate Town Planner

We are working with a well-established and growing planning consultancy to recruit a Graduate Town Planner for their office near Gatwick. This is an excellent opportunity for a planning graduate to begin their career within a supportive, commercially aware consultancy offering structured training and exposure to a broad range of development projects.



The Role

As a Graduate Town Planner, you will work closely with experienced planners and directors, gaining hands-on experience across the full planning lifecycle. The role offers strong mentoring, responsibility from an early stage, and clear progression toward professional qualification.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications

  • Supporting site appraisals, planning research and policy analysis

  • Drafting Planning Statements and supporting documents

  • Liaising with local planning authorities, clients and external consultants

  • Monitoring planning applications and contributing to project delivery



About You

To be considered, you should have:

  • A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline

  • A strong interest in development and the UK planning system

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A proactive, organised approach and willingness to learn

  • Eligibility or intent to work toward MRTPI accreditation
