Operations Graduate The Role:

Hutchison Ports (UK) Port of Felixstowe is the largest deep-water Port in the UK and with a significant percentage of Britain s imports and exports being moved through the Port of Felixstowe, it s fair to say that we play a large part in the UK s logistics chain. Most cargo is dispatched on a Just in time basis with little margin for error; this means that our Operations Delivery team require a unique combination of planning, communication, practical, technical and leadership skills.

Supported by a world class team, you will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills in all aspects of our logistics operation giving you a solid grounding in operations delivery, engineering planning, commercial, finance and quality assurance.

Operations Graduate Key Responsibilities:

- Your learning experiences will include job shadowing, customer visits, attending meetings,

spending time with your mentor and getting involved in real work, like data analysis, planning,

project management and review

- Drive a variety of projects and initiatives to continuously develop what we do and drive

efficiency and customer service.

- Lead and develop our front-line operational teams to deliver excellent customer service and

operational performance

- Provide direct support, engagement and performance management to the Operations teams

- Deliver regular written and verbal presentations across all levels of the Operations Team

reporting on progress and responding to feedback

- Build proficient knowledge in the use and functions of the Port of Felixstowe s core

management systems, processes and Terminal Operating Systems

Operations Graduate You:

- Bachelor s degree (or non-UK equivalent) in any discipline

- IT knowledge including; Word, Excel, PowerPoint or equivalent

- Planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and deliver day to day tasks

- Ability to coordinate and deliver multiple tasks and responsibilities in accordance with agreed

project deadlines

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop relationships with stakeholders

- Ability to understand complex issues to carry out problem solving

- Ability to work collaboratively across a multidisciplinary team and with stakeholders
