Are you a motivated and enthusiastic individual looking to build a career in the mechanical and electrical engineering field? This is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit team working with commercial and industrial HVAC systems in and around Heathrow Airport.

You ll receive hands-on training and development, with the opportunity to progress into a fully-fledged Mechanical/Electrical Engineer.

About the Role: As an Engineer Apprentice, you will work alongside a skilled team conducting reactive maintenance, installation, and repair services across Heathrow Airport and surrounding areas. You ll develop essential skills in diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues and be involved in a variety of projects to support your career growth.

Key Areas of Learning:

  • Gaining a comprehensive understanding of job reporting, surveying, and planning onsite work.
  • Learning to diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Supporting senior engineers in day-to-day tasks, projects, and onsite work.
  • Maintaining high standards of customer service and adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Taking ownership of tasks, demonstrating proactivity, and using your initiative.

About You:

  • You hold a Technical Level 3 qualification.
  • You have a basic technical understanding of a working environment.
  • You are confident working from instructions and can make decisions as needed.
  • You have excellent communication skills and are comfortable using internal systems.
  • You have strong attention to detail, time management skills, and a positive attitude.
  • You are willing to obtain a DBS certificate to enable a full airside pass.

Additional Skills (Desirable):

  • Basic understanding of pump installation, servicing, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with HVAC installation, pipework installation, and electrical fault finding.
  • Knowledge of plumbing and electrical commissioning.
