We are seeking a Trainee Paraplanner, to support experienced Paraplanners and Financial Advisers in delivering outstanding client service. This entry-level role is ideal for someone starting a career in financial planning, with structured training and mentoring provided to help you develop technical knowledge and progress towards a full paraplanning role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in gathering client information and documentation
- Learn how to conduct basic research into financial products and solutions
- Support with drafting suitability reports under supervision
- Help maintain client records in our back-office system
- Shadow advisers and paraplanners during client meetings and casework
- Support the preparation of financial planning documents and annual reviews
- Stay informed about changes in financial products, regulations, and legislation
- Work towards relevant professional qualifications
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
- Strong interest in financial planning and wealth management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Minimum of A-Levels (or equivalent); degree preferred but not required
Desirable:
- Studying towards or interested in starting a Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a financial services or administrative role is a plus
