Are you a recent Psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a specialist education setting? A supportive school in Cookham (SL6) is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately, working with pupils who have special educational needs including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

This role is perfect for graduates who want to apply their knowledge in a practical environment and develop skills for careers in psychology, education, or therapy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, helping them engage and progress.
  • Assist with behaviour regulation and emotional support using therapeutic strategies.
  • Support classroom activities, adapt resources, and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and external professionals to deliver holistic care.
  • Promote independence, confidence, and positive social interactions in a safe and inclusive setting.
