Psychology Graduate - SEN School Support (Halton) Immediate Start

Are you a recent Psychology graduate passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic graduates to join a vibrant Special Educational Needs (SEN) school based in Halton!

About the Role:

  • Location: Halton (easily commutable from surrounding areas)
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Position: Full-time, long-term placement with potential for permanent roles

This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your psychology knowledge in a real-world setting, supporting children with a range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and emotional and behavioural difficulties. You'll be working closely with experienced SEN staff, providing tailored support to help students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students in overcoming barriers to learning
  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils with diverse learning needs
  • Help develop individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
  • Collaborate with teachers and therapists to deliver specialised interventions

What We're Looking For:

  • A Psychology degree (or equivalent)
  • A passion for supporting children with SEN
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient attitude
  • Previous experience working with young people or in an educational setting is a plus, but not essential

To be considered for this position you will:
- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
-Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work)
-have satisfactory references
-have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
