Graduate Developer

Lorien's client, an upscaling firm operating in the world's largest financial market, is rolling out their graduate Software Developer programme for 2025. This is a fantastic time to join their team being responsible for the development of high-performance low latency software at the heart of their global platform.

They're looking for Software Developers with a strong degree in Computer Science or similar to come onboard, upskill with the help of senior technical personnel and progress their career as they help to develop core business software and engineer a variety of technical solutions including core trading and order management services, cloud-based microservices, big data solutions and more.

Some of the duties involved:

  • Designing, developing and improving key software features and APIs
  • Writing clean code and adhering to best practices
  • Working closely with a team of Front/Back End, Product Management, QA and UX/UI specialists
  • Learning and building on your technical skillset wherever possible both independently and with the help of the team

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Good grasp of Java development (or good knowledge of one of: JS, Swift, Kotlin) gained in an academic and/or commercial setting
  • Understanding of data structures and algorithms incl. HashMaps / HashTables and others
  • Willingness and proven ability to learn and adapt to new requirements and technologies as they arise
  • Enthusiasm and motivation
