To do this role, you will need:

  • Good theoretical and practical problem-solving skills
  • A broad mechanical engineering knowledge
  • An understanding of how engineering components operate and might fail
  • Basic knowledge of tribology and the role of the subject in all moving systems
  • Customer focus (excellent written and verbal communication)
  • Knowhow of different techniques of root cause failure analysis
  • The ability of using scanning electron microscope (SEM) or various optical microscopes

Criteria to apply:

  • 2.1 (and above) degree in mechanical engineering

Please note, a successful candidate is likely to be a recent graduate or up to 2 years post-graduate experience.
