The basics:

Job Title: Field service engineer - Trainee engineer

Location: Your service area will be covering sites across the Southwest, however some jobs may involve other areas of the UK.

Pay: 50,000 is the average earnings for field service engineers within the business.

The role comes with: Company van, fuel card and expenses paid via company credit card.

Holidays: 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays

Benefits: Tools provided, training provided, life assurance, company pension scheme at up to 7.5% matched

Hours: Monday to Friday 37.5hrs

Overtime: paid at 1.5 on a Saturday and double time on a Sunday

Environment: You will working on the companies bespoke machinery as a service engineer, working within various environments such as production/manufacturing plants, automated warehouse and distribution centres for example.

Overview:

As the field service engineer you will be tasked to service the company's bespoke machinery (training can be given). You will have some overnight stays away from home with expenses all paid via company credit card. The Field service engineer will be working onsite at the customer, so being comfortable working in a face-to-face role is a must.

Both electrical and mechanical skill sets will be considered - you may be working at heights or in confined spaces.

The ideal candidate / Trainee engineer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

A mechanical skill set - ability to work with tools (spanners/wrenches), nuts and bolts.

Electrical skills - beneficial

Strong communication skills

Electrical or mechanical qualifications - desirable
