Job Title: Skilled Machinist

Hours/Days: 6am to 6pm

Mon Tues Fri Sat Sun week one 57.5 Hours
Week 2 Weds Thurs 23 hours.
80.5 hours so 40.25 averaged per week.

Day fort day shift £22.68
Weekday overtime £26.58
Weekend overtime £35.44

The CNC Machinist will operate as a multi-skilled, flexible worker to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency. Tasks will be undertaken and worked through the use of:
• Machining of parts aircraft parts to drawing specification
• Checking of parts using conventional equipment including height gauges
• Micrometres, vernier, callipers to meet required specification
• Working to engineering drawings
• Manufacturing to defined high tolerances
• Manually or mechanically move components to ensure the effective flow of production within the cell
• Deburring for onward safe handling only
Responsibilities
Ensure parts are produced on a right first time basis.
Ensure that any calibrated equipment used is within date.
Management of machine stoppages with maintenance and escalation as required.
Completion of Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM)
Management of 5S within area ie. tooling, work set station and general area.
Responsible for keeping machines tidy and maintain good standards of housekeeping in designated work area(s)

Baseline Security Clearance Required may be able to start with security ongoing

Qualifications required are Apprenticeship or equivalent - (Modern Apprenticeship will have NVQ 3) or 4 Year Apprenticeship City and Guilds Level 3 or higher If EU Country Certs tend to be 3 Year or longer in a Technical College with the third Year completed on a shop floor
