Acorn is seeking experienced and Trainee Water Hygiene Technicians for their client based near Berkeley, Gloucestershire. This is a great opportunity to retrain, as no experience is necessary - although a background in plumbing or building maintenance would be beneficial.
As a Trainee Water Hygiene Technician, you may have some basic knowledge of water systems and have ideally worked in a customer facing role previously. You will have a friendly flexible approach to your job and be confident in working as part of a team as well as independently.

Tasks:
Temperature monitoring, routine sampling, and analysing water systems
Assist with tank cleaning and disinfection
Showerhead cleaning and descaling
Assist with cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold-water systems and cooling towers
CWST inspections
Assist with the maintenance and servicing of TMVs
Essential skills and qualifications:
Experience in a customer-facing role
Full UK driving license
Basic IT skills (able to use phone/tablet to record information, take photos, etc.)
Attention to detail
Competent in working independently
Flexible
Organised - can manage their own paperwork and expenses
Desirable skills and qualifications:
Experience of water systems
Plumbing or Water Hygiene Qualifications
Health and Safety Training i.e., Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness, COSHH
Awareness
Enhanced DBS check completed in the last 2 years
Salary: 20,000 to 28,000 dependent on experience per annum + company vehicle
