Please check you are available to attend an Assessment Centre in Manchester on 12th August 2021 before applying. You must be able to attend in order to be considered for the programme.
Start date of the apprenticeship programme will be 13th September 2021 You will need to be available on this date.
As a Jetting Apprentice you will have the opportunity to gain a recognised accreditation whilst you earn and gain vast amounts of experience within a highly respected company.
The role will involve working on our DCWW, a 24/7 365 days a year sewerage network contract covering, blockages pollutions and flooding events in and around North Wales.
Our apprentices start the training program on £8.80 per hour in their first year which rises to £9.38 per hour in their second year, this equates to a salary of £21,949 p.a.
Morrison Water Services are very keen to grown our own talent, and provide the opportunity for our apprentices to move into team leader or first line supervisor roles, therefore, we have a full training and competence program in place to facilitate this.
In this role you will be working outside, in all weathers covering blockages in the sewerage network, this will also include flooding events in and around North Wales. You will be out in the street as the face of client speaking to members of the public and other team members including traffic management and local authorities so you will need to be able to communicate effectively at all levels!
At Morrison Water Services we believe nothing should be done that cannot be done safely, these values are in the core of everything we do, so, all tasks you complete will need to be delivered to the MWS health and safety standards, after all its our licence to operate.
As part of the role, you will be required to undertake vehicle safety checks, operate jetting machinery and use hand tools, so a high degree of manual dexterity will be required. You must also be able to work within a confined space, without restriction. You will need to be able to manage your time effectively and feedback data into the planning and commercial teams to ensure closure of jobs. You may need to take photos of work too.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Due to company health & safety policy you must be 18+ years old

As an Apprentice within Morrison Water Services, you will undertake both a technical programme as well as our internal EU Skills endorsed Apprenticeship Development Scheme (ADS) programme.
The ADS programme is a blend of online and face to face sessions, involving soft skills development and mental health/pastoral care support. Some elements of the scheme are residential, which will take place in England. Therefore, applicants must be prepared to travel and stay away from home
The remainder of your time will be spent with our training provider or under supervision on site.
Whilst on your apprentice programme, your travel to and from the providers’ locations, hotel accommodation and all meals will be fully paid for.
