Trainee Network Cabling Engineer, Witney, £18,000pa - £22,000pa plus benefits:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and driven individual to start a career as a Network Cabling Engineer working for a company that is based in Oxfordshire. This company is a fast-growing telecommunications company that is going through an exciting period of growth due to its continued success. The company will be moving to new offices in the next couple of weeks due to the expansion of the business.
My client has a training plan in place for the right candidate to help you on your new path so you will be supported every step of the way in your new position. You will be trained in Network Cabling, existing network auditing and restructuring, installation of CCTV, screens, projectors, and more exotic items.
On a daily basis the Network Cabling Engineer involved in:
Installation and termination of all types of copper cables mainly with cat 6 and cat 6a cooper cabling although you may be involved with cat5e cabling.
Interpret technical drawings and carry out work to customer specifications.
Involved in the installation and termination of single mode and multi-mode fibre.
Work closely with the Technical Project Manager to report on progress.
Deal with any complaints or customer dissatisfaction and provide effective solutions.
Testing cables using cable analysers i.e. Fluke DSX 500 tester or other testing equipment for fault finding.
Provide installation of containment solutions which may include; metal conduit, plastic conduit, steel wire tray cable tray etc.
Providing Wi-Fi solution to customers , installation and diagnostic testing of Wi-Fi hardware as well as other PC equipment.
Supervision of engineering work including risk assessments and ensuring that Heath and Safety is adhered to at all times.Most of this work will take place in commercial offices and in education environments.
The successful Network Cabling must have a driving licence and a basic understanding of engineering/building skills. Also have the desire to learn and succeed in this position with an openness to learn is essential.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week - between the hours of 07:30 - 17:30
