Title: Trainee Maintenance Engineer
Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Shifts: Monday - Friday, 15:30 - 00:00, 40 hours per week
Salary: Circa 30,000 (depending on experience)
Benefits: Pension + Overtime (time and half), Onsite parking, Training and progression (OTE 40,000 +)
The Company:
My client is a national manufacturing site seeking an trainee engineer to join their team on a full time permanent basis. Their site in Suffolk employs nearly 500 team members and each have a vital role to play. Yours will be to cover all planned and reactive maintenance to their manufacturing equipment in a heavy duty environment.
The company has been expanding drastically over the last 50 years and have made multi-million pound investments into their manufacturing sites in the last 10 years alone, so there is a lot of growth here and you will need to be able to progress and expand your skill set with them.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate would be an enthusiastic trainee at the forefront of their engineering career with relevant qualifications, some hands-on electrical or mechanical engineering experience and the right attitude to learn and progress.
You must be willing to get stuck in with a variety of duties, learn how to maintain industrial equipment, make electrical amendments and installations and enjoy solving mechanical faults.
Requirements:
- Hold a level 3 NVQ / BTEC / HNC / HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
- Be eager and willing to learn new skills
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Have an understanding of electrical and mechanical components
- Previous experience working with pumps, valves, conveyors systems, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, electrics or wiring etc (Desired)
- Previous experience working on an industrial site/manufacturing site (Desired)
