Our partnering Secondary schools are seeking candidates to work as Cover Supervisors. Due to increasing demand, we have created a training programme to source high quality professionals who aspire to be cover supervisors and work within the education sector.
Job Description: As a Trainee Cover Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting our students' education. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading lessons for approximately 30 pupils in the absence of the regular class teacher.
- Implementing pre-planned lessons and ensuring their effective delivery.
- Managing classroom behavior and maintaining a positive learning atmosphere.
- Providing additional support to students as needed.
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the school day.
Qualifications and Skills: To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualities and qualifications:
- Confidence and motivation to engage and inspire students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for education and a commitment to the welfare and development of students.
- Adaptability and the ability to thrive in a dynamic educational environment.
- A degree is desirable but not essential as training is provided
Training: Our comprehensive training program is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the role. Training for the Trainee Cover Teacher position is divided into two halves:

Online Theory-Based Training: The first part of your training will be completed online and will cover essential theoretical concepts and best practices in education. This online component is designed to provide you with a solid foundation in teaching principles.

In-Person Training: The second part of your training will take place at our local office. This hands-on, in-person training will allow you to practice your teaching skills under the guidance of experienced educators. You will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge in real classroom settings and receive valuable feedback.
