Production Operative - £8.91ph - Kidderminster - Day shift - Monday to Friday - Temporary-to-permanent role**
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 08:00-17:00pm and Friday 08:00-12:45pm (30-minute unpaid break per day)
Location: Kidderminster (DY11)
Encore Personnel are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client who are based in the Kidderminster area. Due to sustained growth they are now actively looking for a Production Operative to join the team on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

Job Scope and Purpose:
To carry out skilled and technical activity across a range of manufacturing Production operations
Produce quality product in line with production schedules
Working for a successful manufacturing company as a Production Operative reporting into the Production Team Leader
Complete all skilled work required for approved Competencies from skill matrix at the required quality
Maintain tooling, equipment and work environment to working standards
Follow standard operations and company procedures for manufacturing activities and information control
Support production improvement activity to improve manufacturing efficiency
Train new employees as required
Assist within the Company as and when required
In emergency take appropriate action and notify Production Leader
Receives instructions from Production Leader, plans and controls own workload and sequence.
Raise material issues / shortages to Production leader
Wears Appropriate PPE
Keeps work area tidy and under 5S control
Cleanliness of work area
Any other duties as and when required to meet business needs
Carries out all skilled work as required.
Responsible for instructions and on job training of new employees.
Check quality of production in line with company policy using various measuring instruments
(New Designs and Continuous Improvement)
Liaise with Engineering in manufacture of new designs, modifications and new techniques.
Liaise closely with Engineering to resolve issues on current production
Use PDR process to raise issues as required

Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
Ability to follow and constructively work alongside others as required, contributing towards team efficiency and the betterment of the business
Works well under pressure and to deadlines
High level of attention-to-detail with the ability to complete repetitive tasks
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Have a pair of safety boots
A strong "all-rounder" with varied experience who is easily adaptable and keen to learn new skills
Ideally you will have experience working in any of the following sectors: Industrial/Manufacturing/Engineering/Steel or Plastics
Skillsets: Assembly, polishing, moulding, laminating, welding, grinding, machine operating, hand-held tools (Qualifications)
Experience in Factory environment desirable
Apprentice served in engineering, acquiring City & Guilds or equivalent desirable (Experience)
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is essential
Understanding of Business Improvement Techniques, 5S, and Lean desirable
Ability to read and interpret drawings
