Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer
Reports to: Lead Engineering Manager
Location: Hazel Park, Dymock Road, Ledbury, Herefordshire, HR8 2JQ
Hours: 3 shifts rotating, 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am (40 hours per week)

To deliver an effective and timely engineering service to the business, ensuring full compliance with all legislative and company specific requirements for Health, Safety, Environment and Product Quality whilst delivering continual improvement of plant reliability and efficiency.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Adherence to safety standards and the culture of safety awareness
Issuing of permits as and when required
Happy to comply with ad-hoc duties and projects
Conduct fault finding to minimise downtime on equipment malfunctions, implementing suitable corrective actions in a timely manner
Undertake analysis of breakdowns on plant issues and component failures, implementing appropriate and timely corrective action.
Record all engineering activity on the CMMS SYSTEM (Pirana)
Complete all preventative and predictive maintenance work orders as detailed in the asset maintenance schedules & departmental workload plan
Recommend amendments to the asset maintenance schedules in light of inspection histories and operational experience
Identification and completion of remedial work
Responsible for the housekeeping of the Engineering Workshop and associated stores, documentation and tools
Support the Operations team with the timely delivery of product changeovers
Open up site and lock up when required
To continually seek to improve availability and up time of equipment
Develop and maintain relations with Maintenance engineering team, manufacturing, quality departments.
Ensure that the Engineering department is consistently audit ready
Recognised Engineering apprenticeship to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent
At least 3 years' experience within an FMCG environment, preferable food industry related
A methodical approach to fault finding to diagnose and repair faults on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems in a timely manner
Basic fault-finding skills on instrumentation and control systems
Strong Electrical knowledge to include single and 3 phase.
Able to read and understand electrical drawings.
Knowledge TPM/Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques
