Lecturer in Plumbing

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (FTE)

The Construction department requires a Plumbing Lecturer(s) to be involved in the development and delivery of a range of engaging learning programmes across levels 2-3 as well as the apprenticeship scheme. We are looking for someone with the drive and enthusiasm to deliver high standards of teaching, and who will be prepared to undertake some course leadership.
The salary package is up to £45,000 per annum (FTE). This includes a discretionary market supplement (based on 1 FTE) and a one off welcome bonus (terms and conditions apply).
There are full and part time opportunities available and flexible working is considered for this role.
To undertake a teaching programme and all aspects of the teaching and learning process
Responsibility for the quality and implementation of the curriculum
To assist the Curriculum Area Manager and Director of CEMAST, CETC and Construction in the management and review of the curriculum in accordance with College policies
Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people at all ages and levels
Previous teaching experience
Level 5 Teaching qualification (or commitment to achieving this in the required timeframe)
Industry experience in Plumbing
Verifier qualification (desirable) such as V1
Assessors qualification (desirable) such as A1
Experience in teaching and learning would be advantageous, although industry experience will be considered for those with the ambition of becoming an outstanding Lecturer. Fareham College will offer free teacher training to those wishing to enter the teaching profession.
