Randstad Engineering are partnered with one of the Uk's premier manufacturing businesses, they are responsible for production of some of the UK's most recognised brands across the toiletry and sanitary sector, with millions of consumers using their products every day.

We are currently looking for a graduate electrical/electronics manufacturing engineer to join their team on a full time basis for a 2 year fixed period, with the possibility of a permanent position at the end of the contract.

We will look to provide you with real responsibility, cross-functional projects, senior-level visibility, formal technical training, softer skills courses and a real impact on important FMCG products.

Across the placements you will develop skills that range across the following areas:

Work with IT to implement and design the facilities digital foot print and how that links with the equipment on site.

Identification and the delivery of improvement projects on site related to quality, yield, energy and equipment effectiveness (improving machine speed, waste and uptime) to enable global benchmarking.

Lean Six Sigma (Yellow Belt) and continuous improvement methodologies and tools.

In addition to specific technical training, you will also complete a Professional Development Training Programme (PDP) that will cover presentation skills, influencing skills, personal effectiveness, and business acumen. There will also be an opportunity to discuss support throughout your Initial Professional Development in the engineering council (IPD) if required.

In return, we are looking for the following:

You should have completed your technical degree in a relevant engineering discipline and would have been awarded at least a 2:1 or a merit, ideally electrical/electronics engineering

Previous experience or knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, SS, Data Manipulation and Plant Application will be an advantage.

You will have great interpersonal skills and be a strong team player.
