Permanent opportunity for Graduate Development Surveyor at Local Authority in Lancashire
Your new company You will be responsible for developing a Strategic Development Asset Plan for eight Council-owned land parcels identified in the local plan, including disposal, in-house development, and joint ventures.You will formulate proposals to allocate £420k from the Local Authority Housing Fund for properties dedicated to Afghan nationals and temporary accommodation.You will identify residential purchase opportunities for supported family housing through S106 contributions.Process PLR (Public Land Registry) requests related to Council-owned land that directly impact housing site availability.You will advance a Supported Accommodation model for the council.You will collaborate with Homes England, One Public Estates as well as other Stakeholders to bring forward development sites and seek external investment opportunities.You will engage in discussions with traditional mill owners regarding potential housing schemesYou will assist the Senior Property Officer with all aspects of management of the Council's property portfolio, ensuring that the commercial assets are maintained, affordable, sustainable and comply with all statutory legislation;Assist in the development of the strategic asset review categorising assets by type, ward and performance and using GIS and database systems to record data;You will undertake site visits when required ensuring to adhere to department protocol;Instruct industry professionals to undertake surveys and valuations;Work as an effective member of a small team in order to deliver results, assisting with all department projects where required;What you'll need to succeed

Your new role
You will be responsible for taking the lead on projects within the Property Services department to unlock options, which support the council's residents with their housing needs.
You will have at least 1 years experience working within the property sector- ideally in development within a social housing organisation, or as a residential estate agents
You will have a Property related B.Sc. or equivalentWhat you'll get in return
Salary £30,500- £34,500
