Job Description

The main role of the team is to define future Manufacturing strategies for new products, to evaluate the costs of implementing them into production and to manage the investment budgets required. The team is responsible for gaining approval of investment for new projects within both Bentley and VW Group.

The Team also defines and audits the detailed processes used by Production Planning to meet international standards (IATF 16949) and also administers and maintains the process systems to support Production Planning.

This role requires a sound understanding of all Manufacturing technologies used to produce a car and therefore a strong Manufacturing Engineering education is highly desired.

Extraordinary Person

You must have 3 A-Levels including Maths and an Engineering related subject at Grade C or above, or nationally recognised equivalents*.

You must also provide evidence of achieving Grade 4 (C) or above in Maths and English at GCSE level, or nationally recognised equivalents.

*eg. BTEC Level 3 at Merit or above

Our degree apprenticeship is a fully funded, nationally recognised apprenticeship giving individuals the opportunity to gain qualifications whilst undertaking on-the job training and development.  Working with a sponsoring manager who is an expert in their field you will base your time between one of our partner colleges and Universities and the Bentley site. 

During your programme you will benefit from a wealth of support through both internal and external networks. You will learn through a mixture of academic and practical training. In addition to the formal side of your Apprenticeship you will also undertake a core training programme, which may include placements in associated departments to increase your skills and business knowledge.  Apprentice forums with your peer group and workshops will assist with your personal, professional and technical development. In addition you will be expected to participate in community events where you will work with local charities or initiatives with local schools.
