With ample history behind it, the institution has a glowing track record of challenging curious minds, pioneering research and improving communities.Your new roleAs a Cyber Security Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the security, validity and provision of the organizations systems and services through monitoring, evaluation and in collaboration with the senior members of the team. You will undertake cyber security activities and contribute to the management of risks to the organization's IT facilities and information from internal and external threats. In addition, you will proactively engage with the Information Security community to identify and mitigate relevant cyber threats, investigate incidents and work with stakeholders to raise awareness of the importance of Information Security and ensure continued legal, contractual and regulatory compliance. You will also assist in supporting and mentoring a Cyber Security Analyst apprentice! What you'll need to succeedYour Profile

  • Significant and demonstrable experience of cyber security responsibilities such as vulnerability scanning, interpretation of results including prioritisation and progressing remediation activities
  • Experience with cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance
  • Experience of Risk Management in relation to cyber security
  • Experience of working to security control frameworks
  • Extensive experience of analysing and interpreting complex data in order to regularly communicate to audiences of varying backgrounds and domain knowledge
  • Experience creating and maintaining training and awareness material

  • Experience with email filtering protection services, PCI-DSS

Communication

  • It is essential you can communicate advice clearly and persuasively, and can present compelling arguments, both written and spoken.
  • You will have experience in building good relationships at all levels across stakeholder groups and partner organisations
  • You will be able to work effectively in cross-functional teams with both business and technical stakeholders
