An exciting entry-level project management opportunity is available in the Communications Team at Safran Seats in Cwmbran Wales, a Tier 1 supplier to the Aerospace industry of Business and First Class Aircraft Seats.

The Communications Projects and Events Apprentice will work as part of the Safran Seats HR Team, specifically within Communications. The successful candidate will work across a variety of projects including internal and external company events, diversity and inclusion initiatives, community outreach including charity activity coordination, and Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) initiatives with local schools. They will also support the wider communication function in the day-to-day running of internal and external communication.

The post holder will complete an on the job Higher Apprenticeship in Project Management supported by in role project activity. Hybrid working is available for this role with an average 60/40 split between office-based and remote working.

Key Responsibilities & Duties;

Corporate Social Responsibility:

Coordinate Business Charity Committee activities

Lead on the arrangements and coordination of charity events

Receive, present and process applications for sponsorship and charity for employees

Liaise with external organisations and charities to arrange volunteering events on behalf of Safran Seats in the local community

Act as lead on organisation and coordination of events relating to Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) outreach programmes with schools.

Project manage internal and external business events

Actively engage with the Women in Aviation and Aerospace Charter (WIAAC) and its signatories to further Safran s commitments to Diversity and Inclusion.

Liaise with external organisations and charities to arrange volunteering events on behalf of Safran Seats in the local community

Act as lead on organisation and coordination of events relating to Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) outreach programmes with schools.

Project manage internal and external business events

Actively engage with the Women in Aviation and Aerospace Charter (WIAAC) and its signatories to further Safran s commitments to Diversity and Inclusion.

Communications:

Coordinate projects for the Communications function while learning the apprenticeship framework of Project Management

Work as part of a wider Communications function

Produce communication material for internal use via email, intranet, newsletter and other means as required

Produce communication material for external purposes such as company social media and other mediums as required

Active participant of the UK Communications Network

Administration and general duties:

Support to the Communications and Learning and Development functions with general administration

Support to the wider HR team as required

Write presentations on relevant business topics

Skills & Experience required;

Experience using Microsoft office programmes
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Copywriting, proof reading and editing skills
Accurate with attention to detail
Time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
