Job Description

This two-year scheme offers you the opportunity to gain experience in working in all the business functions which support the development of our products such as commercial, finance and procurement.

What Does The Apprenticeship Involve?

As a Business Apprentice you will be involved in a wide range of activities which support the efficient running of the various departments throughout the company. Activities may include: diary management, organisation of internal and external meetings andefficient management of internal/external correspondence. There is also a big emphasis on the use of IT for maintaining records, data input and creating/updating databases.

Excellent teamwork, organisation and communication skills are essential to the role as you would be expected to liaise with all levels within the business and external customers as required.

Through a combination of further education and work experience placements you will gain insights into the challenges that underpin our operations working across various functions such as commercial, procurement, project management, manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities of the role includesupporting and engagingwith different parts of the organisation and interact with internal or external customers. With a focus on adding value, the role of business administrator contributes to the efficiency of an organisation, through support of functional areas, working across teams and resolving issues as requested. The flexibility and responsiveness required allows you to develop a wide range of skills.

As a business administration apprentice you will be expected to deliver your responsibilities efficiently and with integrity – showing a positive attitude. The role involves demonstrating strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and adopting a proactive approach to developing skills. You will be expected to show initiative, the ability to manage priorities and own time, problem-solving skills, decision-making and the potential for people management responsibilities through mentoring or coaching others.

5 GCSEs grade A*-C/4-9 (or equivalent) including Maths and English
