Due to significant growth, we have an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our clients growing teaching and assessing team as a Bricklaying Tutor / Assessor

Based in Birmingham
Salary £28k to £35k experience depending
Within this role you will be teaching and assessing and contributing to the on-going development of our clients fast-growing training centre.
THE ROLE
The primary location for training will be from their training Centre in Birmingham
You will also be required to travel to your learners' places of employment when required so you will need to be prepared to travel and have the use of a car.
A travel allowance is provided.
The ideal candidate will qualified to a minimum of Level 3 whilst also being in possession of a Teaching/Assessing qualification. You will have gained the necessary experience from working within industry or performing a similar role within an educational context.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL POSSESS
Essential
Relevant Trade Qualification that evidence skills
Full driving license with access to vehicle.
Ability to motivate and inspire achievement
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Effective organisation and time management skills
A minimum of 2 years in the occupational area of; Bricklaying
An understanding of Apprenticeships and NVQ's
Desirable but not essential
Teaching Qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, CertEd)
Literacy and Numeracy Qualifications (at Level 2 or above)
Assessor qualification (A1/TAQA)
Internal Verification qualification (IQA qualification
Delivering and supporting standards expected by Awarding Bodies, Industry and Learners, and will include the delivery of Traineeships, Apprenticeships and the on-site assessment of Level 3 students in their place of work.
Our clients assessment team is focused on delivering exceptional services and products to our existing customers and supplying company awareness to potential new customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver all forms of academic and vocational study relating to Carpentry and Joinery.
To deliver engaging, effective and innovative individual or group training sessions to students, including induction.
To deliver inspiring training that meets criteria and standards for apprenticeships.
To manage students and their Individual Learning Programmes, closely monitor and review progress.
To conduct & use initial assessment effectively and set apprentices appropriate, but challenging, targets & goals.
To assess apprentices' portfolios and supply regular supportive, developmental feedback
To conduct and document meaningful reviews of students, in the workplace or at centre.
Conduct prompt one-to-one visits with students in the workplace and support and facilitate progress.
Carry out all duties with due regard to Health and Safety.
