Job Description
Apprenticeships Compliance Officer
Executive Education

* To respond to enquiries to the Funding & Compliance team from learners, employers and colleagues
* To populate agreement templates with information specific to learners, employers and apprenticeship programmes. To issue and ensure sign off of these agreements between the client and employers for apprenticeship provision
* To keep the database of employer organisations up to date and ensure existing agreements are renewed as required
* To populate compliance documentation with information specific to learners, employers and apprenticeship programmes. To issue and ensure sign off of compliance documentation for
apprentices during the on-boarding process
* To process any changes of circumstances for learners during their apprenticeship; ensure changes are compliant and all required evidence is recorded
* To assist with preparation and internal auditing of apprenticeship Evidence Packs, including for on-boarding, on-programme and completion checkpoints
* To assist with external auditing preparation and response
* To arrange delivery of hard-copy certification to learners
* To raise requisitions for goods and services as required by the Funding & Compliance team
* To organise and service meetings when required
* To assist with the evaluation and monitoring of office processes
* To assist members of the Funding & Compliance team with additional activities as required

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to communicate the reality of mandatory compliance requirements without
compromising customer service standards
* Process oriented, with the ability to follow set procedures
* Focussed on continuous improvement; able to identify ways procedures can be improved
and ensure any changes are formally recorded and communicated as required to ensure maximum benefit
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to provide information, advice and guidance whilst maintaining confidentiality
* Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise a variety of work activities in a busy environment and meet strict deadlines
* Experience of working in a team environment within a large organisation, with the ability to provide support for colleagues
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively
* Good digital literacy skills with experience of, or willingness to be trained in relevant systems
* GCSE Maths and English grade A-C or level 5 and above
* A commitment to the University's core values and to the provision of the best possible support to our students, staff and customers
Desirable Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
* Relevant knowledge and experience in the field of Apprenticeship administration
* Experience of using Aptem or similar Information Management system
* Experience of Apprenticeships as an apprentice or as an employer of an apprentice
