Here at Randstad, we are recruiting for an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor to work with a leading national housebuilder in Sevenoaks, Kent.

Within this role, you will be reporting in the Commercial Management Team.

As a trainee Quantity Surveyor, you will provide support to the wider Surveying and Estimating team and gain experience across commercial based activities, whilst gaining experience, training and relevant qualifications to further your professional career.

Duties will include:

Liaise with the wider Surveying team to establish requirements for pre-contract expenditure and strategic procurement
Work alongside the wider Surveying and Estimating team to determine allowances for tender
Assist in agreeing the selection of suitable subcontractors for works packages
Assist in the preparation of Production Forecast cash flow and monitor client cashflows
Assist with the preparation of tender evaluations for approval
Assist in the application of retention releases
Assist with the processing of subcontractor payments on a monthly basis
Assist in keeping the RAMS schedule updated and issued to all relevant parties Requirements:

4 GCSEs A-C/4-9. Two of these should be Maths and English.
A minimum of a Level 3/BTEC Diploma/2 A Levels.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
Full and valid driving licence
