National Apprenticeship Week 2022 is the most exciting week of the year for apprenticeship and it is pencilled in the diary for 7 to 13 February 2022.

What is National Apprenticeship Week?

So what is National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) well in short it is a week dedicated to apprenticeships for apprentice employers and apprentices alike to showcase their apprenticeships and experienced.

During NAW thousands of companies across the country either run their own events or join organised events run by companies such as the National Apprenticeship Events company. It’s a great week for anyone wanting to enter the world of apprenticeships to visit one of the many events and ask questions directly with employers or apprenticeship training providers before counting themselves to applying online.

During National Apprenticeship Week many companies also make pledges for the year ahead to highlight what they will be doing to in relation to the number of apprentices they will be hiring and how and when they will be showcasing their apprenticeships.

History of National Apprenticeship Week:

Believe it or not the first NAW was way back in 2007 which may have helped prompt the government to set up the National Apprenticeship Service.

To be honest I don’t even think I was aware that the National Apprenticeship Week even existed back in 2007, that maybe largely down to the use of the internet being quite new and we didn’t have smart phones.

Now though, during the run up to National Apprenticeship Week you can’t hide from the promotion of the even and the fantastic support by companies to really get behind it and help budding apprentices find their ideal apprenticeship opportunity.

It is estimated that over 5,000 companies take part in the event to help support the benefits of apprenticeships and are on hand to answer any questions and provide advise.
